Reunion Weekend 2026

Excited to celebrate the graduating class of 2027! You were rockstars then and continue to impress. Here's to a wonderful senior year.

Will never forget Pete sledding down the middle school hill with a bare chest. Charlie Green wearing shorts ALL YEAR! Even in the snow. Watching people eat Mr. L’s mealworm and oatmeal cookies. Dr. O’s Shakespeare class. Watching 9-11 in real time in Dr. Tostivin’s wife’s class ( sorry Erik. I’m blanking on you mom’s name). MR. HILL!!!! And his drama class!!!! And yes. The 7th grade male English teacher who LOVED BASEBALL more than anyone I ever knew!!! Mr Diskin. Right?! What was the physics teachers name who threw dry ice on us in high school?!? And that high school teacher that taught black history. He had an Afro and wore memorable bell bottoms one year. Mr . Hicks!!!!!!!! And how could I forget CASINO GAMES and rotel during midterms?!?! Sooooooo many great memories!!!! Lots of memories. Grateful for all of the love!

There were so many teachers I loved at Sunset and PHS. I loved it so much, we decided to return to KC from L.A. so our children could experience the education and strong community. So thankful for my time as a student and a parent at PHS. Go Raiders!

In 1970 Mr. John Altman taught my 10th grade english & french classes. He was the best teacher!

Ed Schoonover. Took his class on technical/engineering drawing to avoid biology. Turned out to be a life-changing skill leading to long and rewarding career. At the time, he told my parents that he didn't know whether I was an underachiever, or just a late bloomer.

Sorry to miss 50th. Good luck and good health to all.

In honor of Michael Nixon

Michael did beaucoup work to get me to the reunion and he's been a godsend.

My favorite teacher was Dr. Loeb!

My years at Pem-Day were some of the best years of my life so far. Between teachers like David Geddes and Ron Vierling, classmates like my _Hilltop_ sidekick John Deweese, and all the other activities, from Glee Club on down, the school had to offer, I had the chance to explore everything I was and everything I could be. I tell people all the time that I wouldn't trade growing up in Kansas City for growing up anywhere else in the country, and Pem-Day (now Pembroke Hill) is one of the biggest reasons why.

I am so grateful for all of our terrific faculty and staff. For decades, they have inspired us and taught us the joy of learning. We look forward to welcoming all of our alumni back to campus for Reunion Weekend 2026 on Friday, Oct. 2 and Sat. Oct. 3. Pembroke Hill was an important chapter in my life, as it was part of my foreigner exchange program. There I made lifetime friends, I am so happy to be back for our 25th reunion.
